A case was registered against the Circle Inspector Palle Rakesh, Sub-Inspector Mogulaiah and driver Gangadhar in this connection.

ACB officials said the officers were caught red-handed after laying a trap following a complaint by one Sajid Ahmed of Bodhan. However, there was some argument and jostling took place in which Sajeed sustained some injuries. Goud, reportedly did not allow Sajid to take his Enfield motorcycle and seized it.

Following this, Sajid lodged a complaint against Goud and requested police to reclaim his bike. Receiving the complaint, Bodhan SI Mogilaiah registered a case and took over the bike from Goud’s house, but demanded money from Sajid to hand over the bike, to which he refused. later, the Bodhan CI Rakesh and SI Mogiliah allegedly to have instigated Sudershan Goud to lodge a counter complaint against Sajid. When Sajid questioned on this, the police officers demanded Rs 2 lakh from Sajid to not to book him.

ACB officials said Sajid approached ACB and later struck a deal with the police officers for payment of Rs 50,000 in cash and an expensive Samsung phone costing over Rs 1 lakh. While the money and phone were being handed over ACB officials swooped on and caught the CI and his driver Gangadhar red-handed.
