Nizamabad: District Judge Sunitha Kuchala has sentenced a mother and son, Vaddamma and Prasanth, to life term imprisonment on charges of killing six members of a family over a property dispute.

The sensational case occurred in December last year, when the accused killed six members, including Prasanth’s friend Prasad and his wife Sanvika, their twin daughters Srivani and Swapna and Prasad’s two sisters. All the six were killed in a span of one week. Prasanth, a native of Makloor, was suspected to have killed the six after a dispute over a property in the same village.

Prasanth wanted to purchase Prasad’s property in Maklook for Rs.26 lakh by taking a loan after he relocated to Machareddy village. While the property registration was completed, banks denied loans to Prashanth, according to reports.

After Prasad started demanding money from Prasanth, he hatched a plan to eliminate him. Prasanth took Prasad to a forest along the Nizamabad – Kamareddy national highway and brutally murdered him. Subsequently, he killed Sanvika, Prasad’s two daughters and sisters as well, the reports said.

As the murders took place in different areas, four cases were booked in different police stations. The verdict delivered on Tuesday pertains to the case booked at Mendora police station under which Prashanth had killed Prasad’s two daughters.
