‘No candidate on behalf of MPTC forum in Huzurabad bypoll’

Warangal Urban: Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) Members Forum State president G Kumar Goud here on Saturday made it clear that there would be no candidate in the contest on behalf of the MPTC forum in the bypoll for the Huzurabad Assembly constituency. “If any MPTC contests the election, it should be considered as his/her individual decision. The forum will not field anyone,” he added.
Speaking to the media persons here on Saturday, he said that the forum, however, would fight for rights irrespective of party affiliations. We have already placed 36 demands before the State government. We are trying to resolve the issues one after another. However, we have confidence in our Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao that he would resolve the issues of the MPTCs.” Kumar, however, reminded that the MPTC remained ‘powerless’ during the united Andhra Pradesh State.
It may be added here that Vem Vasudeva Reddy, erstwhile Warangal district president of the MPTCs Forum on Friday announced that many MPTC members would contest the byelection of Huzurabad as the government failed to resolve their issues.
