No concern with Maxwell’s form, says Punjab Kings batter Nehal Wadhera

Punjab Kings key batter Nehal Wadhera said there were no concerns about star all-rounder Glen Maxwell even with his indifferent form

Hyderabad: Punjab Kings key batter Nehal Wadhera said there were no concerns about the indifferent form of the star all-rounder Glen Maxwell.

In the pre-match briefing on the eve of the IPL league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad here on Friday, Wadhera said the way he batted he was looking very good and hopefully would see some good innings come from him soon.

On the team’s mood, Wadhera said that the camaraderie between the boys and the coaches was very, very good. “I think it’s a very healthy relationship which is being built in this team. So I think everyone is supporting each other which is very much necessary in a tournament like IPL,” he said.

“And, even if someone has a bad day still there is everyone backing him on that day. I think these are the basic things which actually help a team build stronger and help you win more games in tournaments like IPL,” Wadhera said.

Reflecting on the poor run of SRH, Wadhera said their job was to do well with bat and ball. “We just want to bat and bowl the best way we can. SRH, as we all know, is a very dangerous side and we are not taking the game lightly,” he said.

“Yes, we are really looking forward to beating them here at home ground. I don’t think toss matters much on this pitch,” Wadhera signed off.
