Tirupati: Union Minister for Tourism G Kishan Reddy has observed that there was no development in Andhra Pradesh, barring the Central Government schemes.
Talking to reporters after visiting the Tirumala temple here on Thursday, he said there was somedelay in Central scheme works as the state was unable to provide its share of funds. The Centre was extending all kinds of assistance to Andhra Pradesh and had sent 4500 ventilators and vaccines during COVID, sanctioned many educational institutions to the state, and developed the Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati airports, he said.
“We are developing tourism under ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ . Plans are being chalked out for tourism development from January to December next year. People should extend their cooperation in warding off COVID third wave. We will provide free vaccines to everyone in the country,” he said.
