Hyderabad: The Keesara police have clarified that there was no movement of the notorious Chaddi Gang in their limits. They warned miscreants against spreading rumours on social media about the gang targeting houses on the city outskirts.
For the last few days, a short CCTV footage clip is making rounds on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. In the video, an unidentified group of men, armed with weapons, cover their faces with masks, barge into a house and attempt to rob a couple.

“The CCTV footage is not related to any offence in the Keesara police limits. Some miscreants with malicious intention are spreading it on social media,” said J Narender Goud, Inspector (Keesara), adding that intentionally or unintentionally spreading fake news that creates panic in citizens was an offence.
“We have booked a case and are tracking the details from where the video and news spread. Based on further investigation and technical evidence in hand, necessary action will be taken against those responsible,” he said.
