Kothagudem: No one can stop the TRS from winning Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates Constituency MLC election, asserted Kothagudem MLA, Vanama Venkateswar Rao.

The graduates in the constituency were with the TRS and the party nominee Palla Rajeshwar Reddy was going to win the election with a huge majority, the MLA hoped addressing a massive public gathering here on Wednesday.

Venkateswar Rao said the BJP party has no moral right to seek the votes as the BJP led NDA government at the Centre has made the lives of middle class and poor families miserable by increasing the prices of petroleum products and LPG cylinders.

Similarly, the BJP government has failed to establish a steel factory at Bayyaram as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. The graduates have to think wisely and cast their first preference vote in favour of Rajeshwar Reddy, he appealed to the voters.

The incumbent MLC Rajeshwar Reddy deserves to be reelected to represent the graduates in the Legislative Council. The TRS cadres have to make committed efforts to campaign for the TRS candidate by contacting voters in their respective areas, the MLA urged.

Addressing the gathering former MP, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao Telangana has witnessed tremendous progress on all the fronts. The graduate voters have to support the Chief Minister by voting for TRS.

He described Rajeshwar Reddy as the most able candidate to get elected as the Graduates MLC and wanted the graduates serving in SCCL company to cast their first priority votes to the sitting MLC to give a fitting reply to the opposition parties.

Rajeshwar Reddy while urging the voters to bless him again in the election stated that the opposition parties, which lacked proper election agenda have been making baseless allegations against the TRS government.

The government was able to create jobs for lakhs of unemployed youth in the past six years. With the development initiatives of the government over 14, 000 companies offered jobs to nearly 16.50 lakh graduates in IT, Pharmaceutical and other sectors, he revealed.

ZP Chairman, Koram Kanakaiah, MLC, B Lakshminarayana, District Library Chairman, D Rajender, Municipal Chairperson, K Sita Mahalakshmi, TGBKS leader, B Venkat Rao and TRS leader Tata Madhu were present.

Nominations of 74 candidates found valid after scrutiny

Nalgonda: After scrutiny of nominations of Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates MLC elections, the officials found that nominations of 74 candidates were valid and nominations of two candidates were rejected.

A media release from the Returning Officer said a total of 76 candidates filed nominations for Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduate MLC elections and nominations of 74 candidates were found valid during scrutiny. Nomination of Dalita Bahujana Party Bathula Sravan Kumar was rejected since the contesting candidate was 27 years old on the date of scrutiny. The nomination of  Telugu Desam Party Mundra Mallikarjun Rao was also rejected since the proposers name mentioned by the contesting candidate in the nomination paper did not tally with reference to the electoral roll of MLC constituency.
