Nizamabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy on Thursday said that various transactions carried out on Dharani portal took just 15 minutes for execution.
Following instructions from Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, officials developed the portal which has turned into a boon for farmers in registering their agricultural lands. Instead of running from pillar to post for the registration process, the portal was now enabling farmers to carry out registrations in a hassle-free and transparent manner, he said.
“No other State in the country has a facility like Dharani portal,” the Minister, who visited Tahsildar’s office in Velpur mandal of Nizamabad district in connection with the registration of 2.39 acres purchased on the outskirts of Saipet, said.
Prashant Reddy was surprised to get an e-passbook within 15 minutes of completing the mutation. He also enquired with other farmers whether they were getting the same facility. After officials informed that the registration process had become easy, the Minister enquired about the transactions conducted on a daily basis.
