No Traffic Lok Adalat, Hyderabad cops clarify

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have clarified that there is no Traffic Lok Adalat being organized, wherein 50 per cent discount on pending challans in view of Dasara festival.
“We noticed a message that is going viral on social media informing that there will be a Traffic Lok Adalat, between October 4-7, to clear the pending challans. The citizens are informed that it is a fake message,” the traffic police said in a statement, adding that legal action will be taken against those who share the fake message.
The message saying that there would be a Lok Adalat with 50 per cent discount on pending traffic challans ahead of Dasara had gone viral on social media. It also said there would be an online payment option.
Police are checking into the origin of the fake message.
