Nomaan Pappu, Kyra Raina win singles and doubles titles at All India Sub-Junior Badminton Championship
Nomaan Pappu of Tamil Nadu stunned Kaavish Yadav to win the boys' singles title, while Maharashtra’s Kyra Raina clinched the girls' singles and doubles titles at the All India Sub-Junior Badminton Championship at Chetan Anand Badminton Academy
Hyderabad: Unseeded Nomaan Pappu of Tamil Nadu shocked fifth-seeded Kaavish Yadav of Haryana 21-16, 21-13 in the boys’ singles final of the All India Sub-Junior (under-13) Badminton Championship at Chetan Anand Badminton Academy here on Saturday.
In the girls’ section, Kyra Raina of Maharashtra completed a ‘double’, winning the singles title by defeating Johanna Ahilan of Karnataka 21-13, 21-12, and then combining well with Anya Proddatur of Telangana to score a 21-10, 21-15 win against B. Diya Anand and Aabha Jadhav of Telangana.
