Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said on Friday that non-teaching staff working in Education and Women and Child Welfare departments will not suffer any loss in promotions nor will they have to move out of Hyderabad district in the wake of allotment of new local cadre as per the New Zonal system.

The Chief Secretary gave an assurance to this effect to a delegation of non-teaching staff led by Yakhutpura MLA Ahmad Pasha Quadri.


The delegation approached AIMIM Floor Leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi regarding the issues they were facing in the wake of employees allotment. He spoke to the Chief Secretary and urged Ahmad Pasha Quadri to lead the delegation and address the issue.

The AIMIM MLA said since the allotment of employees had commenced, the non-teaching staff staying in Hyderabad-Local cadre were advised to opt other districts and similarly, the non-teaching staff outside Hyderabad, were asked to report at Hyderabad.

This will result in loss to the employees. As per government orders, employees residing in Greater Hyderabad limits are paid 24 per cent as House Rent Allowance. In case of those living in other districts, the HRA was 12 per cent, he pointed out.

The Chief Secretary, assuring them, said in case they faced any issue, they could approach him and all the problems would be addressed, a press release said.
