Karimnagar: Former Minister Eatala Rajender said that it was not possible to win over people with blackmail tactics and by spending hundreds of crores. Some of the leaders in Huzurabad constituency were acting as slaves to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, he said and warned that they would be buried politically shortly.

Rajender toured Shambunipalli and Kaniparthi villages in Kamalapur mandal of Huzurabad constituency on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, he found fault with the State government for “purchasing” leaders by spending money amassed illegally. However, it was not possible to win polls by violence and spending money, he said.

The former minister alleged that the TRS leadership had put him aside after utilizing his services during the last 19 years especially in the crucial period of Telangana agitation. People would teach a befitting lesson to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, he said.

While Karimnagar was the center point for Telangana agitation, Kamalapur was center point for Karimnagar agitation . Leaders, who played an active role in Telangana agitation and neglected after formation of separate state, were ready to campaign in Huzurabad by-polls, he added.

Stating that there was no space for democracy and self-respect in Telangana, he expressed confidence to uphold Telangana’s self-respect.
