Jagtial: BRS MLC K Kavitha on Monday alleged that the Congress-led State government was deliberately targeting BRS leaders with notices to divert public attention from pressing issues.
She pointed out that notices had been issued to BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao, senior leader T Harish Rao, and now, working president KT Rama Rao. “We will respond to each and every question, but the government should refrain from indulging in diversionary politics,” she said. Kavitha also condemned the recent locking of the Telangana Bhavan.
She made these remarks while participating in the annual day celebrations of the Navadurga temple in Jagtial.
Speaking on the Rythu Bharosa scheme, Kavitha said farmers were still waiting for benefits, as the financial assistance had been provided only once in the last one and a half years. “Even then, the benefit was restricted to farmers with up to three acres of land, and only 60 per cent of eligible farmers received the amount,” she claimed.
She also criticised the State government for failing to implement the job calendar and for not fulfilling promises made to students.
