Notification to fill vacant posts in all govt depts soon: KCR

Hyderabad: In what should bring cheer to the youth in the State eagerly waiting to apply for government jobs, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced that a notification to fill vacant posts in various departments would be issued.

He said the notification would be issued for filling vacant posts including those related to teachers and police personnel. He instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to gather details of vacant posts in all the departments across the State.

“As per preliminary information, there are as many as 50,000 vacant posts covering all government departments in the State. There is a need to recruit thousands of teachers and police personnel also. Thus, officials must collect the information not only pertaining to teachers and police but also posts that are lying vacant in all the departments,” the Chief Minister said.

Stating that information on the number of employees required in each department should also be collected, he said after completing the exercise, a notification will be issued.
