NPDCL AE, lineman suspended for taking bribe from farmers in Khammam
An Assistant Engineer (AE) and an Assistant Lineman (ALM) from the Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) in Khammam have been suspended for allegedly demanding and accepting bribes to provide agricultural electricity connections.
Khammam: An Assistant Engineer (AE) and an Assistant Lineman (ALM) of the Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) were suspended from service for allegedly demanding and accepting bribes from farmers to provide agricultural electricity connections.
The accused, AE R Bhaskar Rao and ALM U Jagath Jeevan, were posted at Tirumalayapalem in Khammam circle. They were found guilty of demanding Rs. 90,000 from farmers for facilitating service connections.
