Hyderabad: In view of the Covid-19 pandemic across the country, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 May session which was scheduled to be held from May 24 to 28.

The NTA had earlier postponed the JEE Main April session which was to be conducted on April 27 to 30 due to the pandemic.

The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently and registration for the May session will also be announced at a later stage, the NTA said in a public notice.

This year, to support the student community the NTA had drawn out plans for organising the JEE Main in four sessions. Two sessions were completed in February and March. A total of 6,20,978 candidates for the February session and 5,56,248 for the March session had appeared.

The NTA has advised candidates to use the time to prepare themselves better for the examination. They can also take practice tests on the NTA Abhyas app from the comfort of their homes, it said.

It also advised candidates to visit the official website of the NTA www.nta.ac.in and https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ for the latest updates. For further clarification related to JEE Main 2021, candidates can contact on 011-40759000 or email at jeemain@nta.ac.in.
