Hyderabad: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 first session will be conducted between January 21 and 30, while the second session is scheduled between April 1 and 10.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which holds the JEE Main, on Sunday released an advisory for aspirants. The application submission for the JEE Main first session will begin this month, while registrations for the second phase will begin in the last week of January 2026.
In order to facilitate active participation of a large number of candidates in JEE Main 2026, the NTA is working towards increasing the number of cities for a wider approach and ease of engineering aspirants, the agency said.
The NTA, in its recent advisory, asked all eligible aspirants to ensure that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for persons with disabilities) and category certificate are updated. The primary objective of issuing this advisory is to support lakhs of aspirants across the country by encouraging timely and accurate updation.
“The NTA will be obtaining name, date of birth, gender, photograph and address from UIDAI through Aadhaar authentication. However, since father/mother/guardian’s name, etc, is not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates would have to fill such details separately in the online application form,” it said.
For updates, instructions, or notices, aspirants have been advised to visit the NTA official website www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
