NTA releases NEET UG 2026 notification; test on May 3

The NTA has opened applications for NEET UG 2026, scheduled on May 3. The online form is available until March 8. NEET scores are required for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BVSc & AH, and Military Nursing Service BSc Nursing admissions.

Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday released the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 notification, inviting applications from the eligible students for the test scheduled for May 3.

Online submission of application, which commenced on Sunday, will conclude on March 8. Corrections, if any, in the application form can be made between March 10 and 12.


The application fee is Rs 1,700 (Rs. 1,600 for general EWS/ OBC-NCL, and Rs 1,000 for SC, ST, PwBD and third general) for students appearing in the centres in India, while Rs 9,500 will be charged for students who take examination in centres established outside India.

The entrance test will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. City intimation and downloading of admit cards from the NTA website will be announced later. For more information and submission of application, visit the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/.

The NEET UG is conducted for admissions to medical education in all medical institutions. The test scores and merit list will also apply for admissions to BDS, BVSc & AH, BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS programmes.

The Military Nursing Service aspirants seeking admission to BSc Nursing courses being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2026 are required to qualify for NEET (UG). The NEET (UG) score will be used for selection to the four-year BSc Nursing course.
