Peddapalli: National Thermal Power Corporation-Ramagundam in association with Deepthi Mahila Samithi has distributed 63 bicycles to Class VIII girl students of nearby four government schools on Thursday.
President, Deepthi Mahila Samithi, Usha Kumar distributed the bicycles to girls at a programme held at EDC. Speaking on the occasion, she reiterated NTPC’s continuous support to promote education especially among girl students. With their bicycles now girls can attend faraway schools regularly and thus cycling the progress as well as empowerment, she added.
On this occasion, DGM (HR&CSR) DS Kumar highlighted NTPC’s efforts in promotion of education as well as other activities in nearby villages.
Headmasters of the government girls schools, office bearers of Deepthi Mahila Samithi and CSR officials were present on the occasion.
