NTPC hosts Rural Sports Meet for government school students in Peddapalli
The Rural Sports Meet-2025-26 organised by NTPC under its CSR initiative began on Monday with participation from 21 government high schools from Ramagundam, Kamanpur, Anthergaon and Palakurthi mandals, aiming to promote sportsmanship and physical fitness among rural students

Peddapalli: The ‘Rural Sports Meet-2025-26’, organised by National Thermal Power Corporation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), for students studying in government high schools commenced at NTPC on Monday.
A total of 21 schools from four mandals, Ramagundam, Kamanpur, Anthergaon and Palakurthi, are participating in the sports meet. The events conducted under the programme include volleyball and kho-kho, with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness and holistic development among rural school students.
The opening ceremony was attended by General Manager (O&M – Telangana) Mukul Rai, Head of HR Bijoy Kumar Sikdar and Deputy General Manager (HR) Pravin K Choudhari. Officials from the School Games Federation (SGF), members of the NTPC CSR team and physical directors from the participating schools were also present on the occasion.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers.
