Peddapalli: The 43rd raising day of National Thermal Power Corporation-Ramagundam was celebrated with great enthusiasm while adhering to Covid-19 guidelines on Saturday.
Chief General Manager (Ramagundam and Telangana) Sunil Kumar unfurled the NTPC flag and cut a cake to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Kumar threw light on the glorious journey of the power plant and its contribution in nation building during the last 42 years.
He also highlighted NTPC-Ramagundam’s performance and new initiatives as well as efforts in CSR, environment, safety, Covid care management, township facilities, human resources development besides the progress of Telangana project phase-1 (2×800 MW) and 100 MW floating solar PV project.
Other speakers also highlighted the power giant’s journey and its contribution in the power sector as well as development of the nearby areas.
Senior officials from NTPC and CISF, office bearers of different unions and associations and employees were present in large numbers on this occasion.
The occasion also marked distribution of awards to the winners of different competitions held during the vigilance awareness week-2020.
Later, the dignitaries led by Sunil Kumar planted saplings in the township.
