Yadadri-Bhongir: A nurse died on the spot in a road accident on National Highway No 65 at Thangadapally Chowrastha in Choutuppal in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Chittipolu Lakshmi (25), who is working as a nurse in a private hospital at Choutuppal.
Choutuppal Circle Inspector N Srinivas said that an over-speeding lorry ran over Lakshmi when she was taking a U-turn on her two-wheeler on the highway, leading to her instant death. The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the government hospital of Choutuppal for postmortem.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s father Ganesh, Choutuppal police filed a case and took up investigation.
