Hyderabad: Telangana tennis player Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty has advanced to the singles quarterfinals of the ITF World Tennis Tour – Oasis Solapur Open Women’s ITF $25K Tennis Tournament in Solapur, Maharashtra, on Thursday.

In the pre-quarterfinal clash, the State player defeated Punin Kovapitukted of Thailand 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 to secure her spot in the last eight. Earlier, in the first round, Rashmikaa cruised past Ekaterina Reyngold of Russia with a commanding 6-4, 6-1 victory.
