Odisha reports 550 new COVID-19 cases, 12 more deaths
Angul district recorded the highest 53 new cases, followed by Khurda (49) and Sundergarh (47).

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Saturday reported 550 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 3,17,789, a Health Department official said.
Among the new patients is BJP’s national vice- president Baijayant Panda who announced his COVID test result on Twitter late Friday.
Twelve more people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, following which the toll mounted to 1,730.
Of the new cases, 317 were reported from different quarantine centres.
Angul district recorded the highest 53 new cases, followed by Khurda (49) and Sundergarh (47).
Four people died in Sundergarh, three in Khurda, two in Angul and one each in Balasore, Dhenkanal and Jajpur districts, the official said.
At present, there are 6,259 active cases in the state, while 3,09,747 patients have recovered.
The state has so far tested 58.19 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 42,014 on Friday.
Odisha’s positivity rate stands at 5.46 per cent, the official said.
