Odisha reports 757 new COVID-19 cases, 16 more deaths
There are 8,088 active cases in the state at present, while 3,02,796 patients have recovered from the infection so far.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday reported 757 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 3,12,545, a Health Department official said.
Sixteen more people died of COVID-19 in the state, following which the toll rose to 1,608.
Four of the latest fatalities were reported from the Sundergarh district, three from Cuttack, and two each from Ganjam and Sambalpur districts.
One patient each died in Bargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Puri and Subarnapur, the official said.
Of the new cases, 436 cases were reported from different quarantine centres, he said.
Angul recorded the highest 75 new cases, followed by Khurda (70) and Cuttack (67), he said.

Khurda district, which comprises state capital Bhubaneswar, accounted for 272 of the total deaths, followed by Ganjam (236), Cuttack (129) and Sundergarh (114).
The state has so far tested 54.71 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 46,419 on Thursday.
Odisha’s positivity rate currently stands at 5.71 per cent, the official said.
