Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy constituted an official committee to strengthen digital governance in the State. The committee will submit a report within 100 days. The Chief Minister sought details on the implementation of digital governance and instructed officials to draft the necessary legislation.

To streamline the timely payment of salaries to contract and outsourcing employees, the Chief Minister instructed the authorities to take action against agencies that were not functioning in line with the government’s goals.

On Tuesday, he held a review meeting on the problems being faced by contract and outsourcing employees. During the meeting, he ordered that strict action be taken against agencies that were not paying salaries to contract and outsourcing employees on time even after the government had released the funds.

He enquired about the digitisation of the data of contract and outsourcing employees along with that of regular government staff. Officials were instructed to digitise the entire data and ensure that salaries were paid on the first day of every month. The details of contract and outsourcing employees in all departments, including their salaries and bank account information, should be digitised, the Chief Minister added.
