Adilabad: Adilabad Additional Collector M David urged the public to wear face masks and not to gather in large numbers at a place for containing the spread of the Coronavirus. He convened a review meeting with officials concerned here on Friday.
David underlined the need for the authorities to work in tandem with each other in order to tackle the health crisis caused by Covid-19 pandemic. He told them to create awareness among the public over precautionary measures for curtailing the spread of the virus. He said that the officials should strive hard for implementing guidelines of the government. He also asked the officials to encourage people aged above 45 years to get vaccinated against the pandemic. He told them to take steps for preventing the gathering of masses at public spaces such as shopping malls, wine shops, super markets and Raithu Bazars. He suggested them to intensify awareness programmes.
Additional Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said that the district police would extend their cooperation to the authorities concerned in controlling the spreading of the Covid-19 virus. Adilabad Revenue Divisional Officer Jadi Rajeshwar said that mandal and village-level teams must be formed for raising understanding of the public over Covid-19 pandemic. He opined that public representatives, authorities of various departments and government employees should be vaccinated against the virus.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ganapathi, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, municipal commissioner Shailaja and many other officials were present.
