Vijayawada: With ten more Omicron cases coming into light on Wednesday, the number of COVID variant patients in Andhra Pradesh increased to 16.

It is said that some travellers who had arrived in the state from abroad had tested positive for Omicron. Three in East Godavari district, two each in Anantapur and Kurnool and one each in West Godavari, Guntur and Chittoor districts tested positive for the Omicron variant.


The ten patients are now kept in isolation and are under special care and treatment by medical experts.
