Various bird species spotted during the bird walk held in Kawal Tiger Reserve on Sunday.
Mancherial: A day-long bird walk was conducted at Bisonkunta, a percolation tank in the core of Kawal Tiger Reserve near Jannaram mandal centre on Sunday.
Jannaram forest range officer Sushma Rao said that 15 bird watchers, nature lovers and wildlife photographers from different parts of Telangana participated in the event. The participants spotted various bird species inhabiting the reserve. Besides, they soaked in the wilderness by staying and dining in the woods.
Some of the birds spotted included Crested serpent eagle, Wooly necked stork, Lesser whistling duck, Indian robin, Oriental magpie Robin, Ashy prinia, White breasted water heron, Indian nuthatch, Yellow footed green pigeon, Parakeets, Common Iora, Indian silverbill, Common myna and Scaly breasted myna.
Jannaram Deputy Range Officer Thirupathi, FSO Chintaguda Shiva, Tapalpur FSO, Naheeda, FBOs Lal Bhai and Sai were present.
