Hyderabad: A tragic road accident claimed the life of one man and left another person seriously injured in Suraram on Sunday night.

According to police, the mishap occurred near Saibaba Nagar ‘X’ road when a KTM bike, reportedly traveling at high speed, crashed into a car. The impact of the collision was so severe that the rider, identified as Sai Kumar (38), died on the spot.

Another person riding pillion on the bike suffered grievous injuries and was immediately shifted to Malla Reddy Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses said the bike was moving recklessly when it lost control and hit the car head-on. The damaged bike and car were later removed from the road to clear traffic congestion in the area.

The Suraram police have registered a case and are investigating the exact cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or negligence was involved.
