Mancherial: A daily wager died and his parents were injured when a car ran over them while they were asleep in front of their house at Subhashnagar in Bellampalli on the midnight of Saturday.
Bellampalli Sub-Inspector A Bhaskar Rao said the deceased was identified as Barigela Madhu (20). The condition of his parents, Lingaiah and Rajavva, was said to be stable. The accused is Mancherla Rakesh, a resident of the town.
Madhu received fatal injuries when the car ran over him, resulting in instantaneous death. Lingaiah and Rajavva suffered minor injuries. Rakesh was driving the car in a negligent and rash manner, causing the mishap, police said. Based on a complaint lodged by Lingaiah, a case was registered against Rakesh and investigations taken up.
