Suryapet: One person died and two others were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned at Dwarakunta of Kodad mandal in Suryapet district in the early hours of Monday. The deceased was identified as Kondapally Anil Chowdaray (56), who was a native of Nehru Nagar in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the police, Anil along with his wife and son were on their way to Hyderabad from Vijayawada. He was driving the car at the time of the accident. When they reached Dwarakunta, Anil lost control over the vehicle which went off the road and turned turtle. Anil died on the spot, while his wife and son survived the accident with injuries.
Kodad police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to government hospital in Kodad for treatment. The body also has been shifted for postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
