One engineering student killed, five injured in accident at Gandipet in Hyderabad
According to reports, a group of students were travelling in a car when the accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving of the driver, following which the vehicle rammed into an electric pole at Gandipet
Hyderabad: An engineering student lost his life while five others suffered injuries including one of them critically injured when the car they were travelling in rammed into an electric pole at Gandipet movie towers on Tuesday.
According to the police, the six of them aged 18 years are pursuing CSE first year course and are students of a private engineering college located at Gandipet. The six of them were travelling in a swift car and driver rammed into an electric pole.
The driver Srikar, died on the spot while his friends Hema Sai, Vivek, Srujan, Karthikeya, and Harsha sustained injuries and were rushed to a local private hospital for treatment. The condition of Harsha, was stated to be critical.
The incident happened while the students were traveling from Narsingi towards Neopolis. Eyewitnesses told the police that the vehicle was moving at a high speed, and the driver lost control over it leading to the incident. The car was left heavily damaged. Narsingi police registered a case and started investigation into the accident.
