Hyderabad: The One Football Championship Hyderabad 2026 – Junior Edition kicked off at Sportek Arena (Gandipet) here on Sunday in the presence of former India football captain Shabbir Ali.
The tournament, organised by D5 Sports Management in association with Petra Sports Academy and recognised by the Telangana Football Association, is a grassroots youth football initiative with a vision to build structured competitive football for young players across cities. Hyderabad marks the newest chapter in that journey.
The five-week league features nine academies (20 teams) taking the field across three age categories – U-10, U-12 and U-14.
Adiba Mohsin is the founder, Sam Roshan is the head of the event, Pradyumna Chavan is the Operations Head and Rakshitha B Reuben heads coordination for the league.
