Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force along with the Santoshnagar police raided Noor General Stores and caught one person on charges of illegally selling foreign cigarettes, gutkha and banned tobacco products here on Thursday.
Police seized foreign cigarettes, gutkha and tobacco products worth Rs 2 lakh from him. The arrested person Syed Mazhar Hussain (30), the owner of the store, procured the banned tobacco products and foreign cigarettes from dealers in Bidar in Karnataka and sold it to customers in Hyderabad.
The suspect and the seized products were handed over to the Santoshnagar police for further action.
