One injured after ambulance crashes into truck in Hyderabad

The mishap occurred when the ambulance driver Narasimha was on his way from Punjagutta towards Banjara Hills.

Hyderabad: One person was injured after an ambulance crashed into a stationary truck in Banjara Hills here on Friday morning.

The mishap occurred when the ambulance driver Narasimha was on his way from Punjagutta towards Banjara Hills. When the ambulance reached Road No.2 in Banjara Hills, Narasimha, who was alone in the vehicle, is said to have lost and the ambulance went on to hit a stationary truck on the roadside.

Police sources said the driver missed to notice the truck which had broke down and was allegedly parked on the road negligently without any indication, and crashed into it from behind.

The ambulance driver, who suffered minor injuries, was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment. The Banjara Hills police are investigating.

The incident led to traffic congestion on the busy road and its surroundings.
