Hyderabad: One injured in car crash at Shamshabad

Rash driving is suspected to have led to the crash on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway at Shamshabad on the city outskirts

Hyderabad: One person was injured after the car he was traveling was hit by a speeding private bus on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway at Shamshabad on the city outskirts on Tuesday early morning.

A rash and negligent driving is suspected to have led to the crash. The incident occurred when the car was proceeding from Tondupally towards Hyderabad. According to the police, when the car reached Tondupally, the private bus which was also traveling in the same direction hit the car from behind.

Due to the impact, the car went ahead and crashed into the road median. The driver of the car suffered injuries and the vehicle also was heavily damaged. As the driver’s cabin too got damaged, he was trapped inside it for more than an hour.

On receiving a call by a motorist, the Shamshabad police reached the spot and towed the vehicles away. The injured person was shifted to the hospital. A case was booked and police are yet to identify persons who were travelling in the car and truck at the time of the mishap.
