Warangal: One person died and 19 others suffered injuries when a van turned turtle at Chennaraopeta in the district on Thursday early morning. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Sukanya.
The van was heading towards Itukalapally from Jeedigutta thanda with farm labourers. At Konapuram, the vehicle lost control and turned turtle, resulting in the death of Sukanya and injuries to 19 others. Among the injured, the situation of two labourers is said to be critical, according to reports.
The van driver is at large. After learning about the accident, the local police reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Sukanya’s body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem and a case has been registered.
