One killed on the spot, two injured as two bikes collide in Asifabad
Rathod Shankar (53), a head constable working with Armed Reserve wing of the police department and belonging to Rebbena mandal centre received fatal head injuries when the two bikes dashed against each other, resulting in instantaneous death for him and injuries to the youngsters.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A constable was killed on the spot, while two youngsters sustained injuries when two motorcycles collided with each other at Vempalli village in Sirpur (T) mandal on Sunday.
Police said that Rathod Shankar (53), a head constable working with Armed Reserve wing of the police department and belonging to Rebbena mandal centre received fatal head injuries when the two bikes dashed against each other, resulting in instantaneous death for him and injuries to the youngsters.
Identity of the injured youngsters was yet to be established. The injured youngsters were admitted to a hospital in Kaghaznagar. Their medical condition was learnt to be stable. More details of the accident were yet to be known.
Based on a complaint received from the wife of Shankar, a case was registered. Investigations got underway.
