Mancherial: A person from Maharashtra was killed and a teenager sustained minor injuries when a tractor rammed the two-wheeler in which they were travelling at Mulkalla village in Hajipur mandal on Sunday.

Hajipur Sub-Inspector Chandrasekhar said the deceased was Manoj Jayawanth (40) and injured Prakash Madavi (16), both residents of Kinwat in Maharashtra.

Jayawanth received fatal injuries when the tractor dashed the two-wheeler which he was riding on the outskirts of the village, resulting in instantaneous death for him. Pillion rider Prakash injured his legs and hands in the mishap. He was shifted to a hospital in Mancherial town. His medical condition is learned to be stable.

Mothe Durga Prasad, employer of Jayawanth lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered. Investigations got underway.
