One killed, three injured as car rams into mango-laden van in Mancherial
A 40-year-old driver died and three others were injured after a speeding car hit a mango-laden van at Itikyala village in Luxettipet mandal of Mancherial district. One injured person remains in critical condition. Police registered a case and began investigations
Mancherial: A driver was killed, while three others sustained injuries when a car in which they were travelling hit a mango-laden van at Itikyala village in Luxettipet mandal on Saturday night.
Police said the deceased was identified as Yogender Reddy (40) from Kistapur, while the injured were Sunil, Shashank and Kranthi from Luxettipet. They were rushed to a hospital in Mancherial, where the condition of one of the injured is said to be critical.
Yogender suffered serious head injuries when he fell down after the speeding car dashed against the van at a curve. He succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a hospital in Mancherial town. He was proceeding towards Luxettipet, while Sunil was taking his friend Naveen, who had fractured his leg, to a hospital in Mancherial at the time of the incident.
Based on a complaint, a case was registered. Investigations are on.
