One student killed, another injured as speeding car hits them in Karimnagar
A 17-year-old polytechnic student was killed and her friend injured after a speeding car allegedly rammed into them at Thimmapur on the outskirts of Karimnagar town. Police launched a search to identify and trace the car involved in the accident.

Karimnagar: A polytechnic diploma student was killed on the spot, while another sustained injuries after a car mowed them down at Thimmapur on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Wednesday midnight.
LMD SI Syed Anwar said that Srividya (17), a second-year diploma student at a private engineering college and a native of Sircilla, suffered fatal head injuries in the collision that occurred between 11 pm and 12 am. Her friend Bhavana from Mancherial sustained multiple fractures to her legs and hands in the accident. She was shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar.
It was learnt that the girls were returning to their hostel from a bakery when the mishap happened. A speeding car rammed into them when they were about to reach their hostel. A passing motorist rushed the injured student to a hospital. A search was launched to identify and trace the car involved in the accident.
