Hyderabad: Several Indian men, who wouldn’t otherwise step inside the kitchen, have become culinary enthusiasts, thanks to the lockdown!

With the Covid-19 pandemic putting everyone under an extended lockdown, men too had to share the daily household responsibilities. Many men, who lived by themselves or depended on another person to cook for them, were left in a quandary. With no access to restaurants and food delivery apps, several people breached the kitchen’s boundary.

What also motivated many was the enthusiastic participation in the kitchen by many male celebrities, including Diljit Dosanjh, Rajkummar Rao, Ed Helms and many more. In fact, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar started a cooking challenge for men during the lockdown. Soon, the social media site such as Twitter and Instagram started flooding with videos of men cooking, with the hashtag, #LetMenCook.

Hopefully, the pandemic might have taught millions of men an important lesson — doing household chores is not just a woman’s task.
