Hyderabad: Nava Yuva Bharat is offering a Microsoft Office course online free of cost to rural youth in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to benefit both students and unemployed youth.
Today, use of a computer or laptop has become mandatory for any job and Microsoft office is a necessary life skill needed for any fresher, which includes MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Though there are many online learning platforms which help students learn MS Office, all the instructions by the faculty are in English. Students from rural areas often find it difficult to follow these English instructions and learn.
This problem is addressed by Nava Yuva Bharat’s Pro-Employee course wherein the Microsoft Office is taught in Telugu and English. The course will also impart communication skills. This initiative is led by Sreedevi Devireddy, National Entrepreneurship awardee, in her personal capacity.
She said the course provides curated faculty who can teach in Telugu and English. Post the course, there will be assessments, post which the students will be given a certificate of proficiency. Anyone with basic knowledge of computers and is eager to learn can undergo the course (by applying at bit.ly/Pro-Employee). The one-month course will begin on Wednesday and will have one-hour sessions daily between 6.30 and 7.30 pm. Multiple batches are being planned with 100 students in each batch.
Nava Yuva Bharat also offers a Pro-Business programme which empowers rural youth in starting their own small businesses. This is also a free online course aimed at youth of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, taught in Telugu and English, so that the language does not become a barrier for learning.
