Adilabad: A four-member gang involved in illegal online gaming was busted, and five mobile phones, a car, and three books were seized from them. One more member of the gang is absconding.
Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said that Prakash Buddu Rathod, Jadav Prahlad, Pankaj Namdev, and Bondre Suryabhan were arrested while committing the offence at a lodge, following a tip-off. Goti Ramesh, the alleged kingpin of the gang, is still at large.
The four confessed to forming the gang to earn quick money and lead a lavish lifestyle. They admitted to collecting Rs 9,100 from internet users to allow them to participate in the game. They lured users by promising a reward of $100 for winners.
