Online human trafficking racket busted in Hyderabad

The arrested person is M.Vamshi Krishna (25), an organizer from Krishna Nagar in Yousufguda and a native of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Special Operations Team along with Kushaiguda police in a decoy operation busted an online human trafficking racket and arrested one organizer here on Thursday. Two women, from Assam and West Bengal were rescued.

The arrested person is M.Vamshi Krishna (25), an organizer from Krishna Nagar in Yousufguda and a native of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The absconding organizer is Sai from SR Nagar.

According to the police, the organizers posted advertisements on an online dating app mentioning the online payment mobile numbers for booking.

The police laid a trap and shared their location with Vamshi Krishna, who came along with two women in a cab. On reaching at the decided location, the police team caught him and rescued the women.

Vamshi Krishna has been exploiting women and earning easy money through human trafficking for the past few months, officials said adding that efforts were on to nab Sai, the other organizer of the racket. Vamshi Krishna was handed over to Kushaiguda police for further action and the women sent to rescue home for rehabilitation.
