“Operation Sankalp” launched to fight drug menace in Telangana

Hyderabad: In a major step towards creating a drug-free Telangana, the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) has officially launched Operation Sankalp in association with the Movie Artist Association (MAA), Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), and Civil Force Trust.
The launch event was held with the presence of top officials and dignitaries. Sandeep Shandilya, Director of TGANB, led the initiative. Also present were Dr Madala Ravi, Vice President of MAA, P Seetharama, SP, TGANB, and Shailaja, Director, Department for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPWD).
The event marked a powerful moment in the State’s growing efforts to fight drug abuse and spread awareness, especially among youth. Through this initiative, various awareness campaigns, training programs, and community-driven activities will be conducted across Telangana.
Movie artists and influencers will actively take part to reach a wider audience and motivate the public to say no to drugs.
“Operation Sankalp is not just a campaign, it’s a commitment to protect our future generations,” officials said. With joint efforts from all sectors, Telangana aims to set an example in the country for a cleaner, healthier society.
