Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday claimed that Pakistan had shot down Rafale fighter jets during the recent Operation Sindoor and demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi disclose the details.

Addressing a ‘Jai Hind’ rally organised by the Congress here, the Chief Minister said at the all-party meeting convened by the Central government, all parties, setting aside political ideologies, had extended their support for the ‘war’ against Pakistan.

In Parliament, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi had informed the Prime Minister that this was a good opportunity to take control over Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and merge it with India, he said.

“Before going to war, Modi ji convened an all-party meeting, but after four days, suddenly a ceasefire was announced. He should explain the reasons for withdrawing and failing to call an all-party meeting,” Revanth Reddy demanded, also stating that Modi should have drawn inspiration from former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in acting tough against Pakistan and not heeding to pressure exerted by the United States.

“Had Rahul Gandhi been the Prime Minister, he would have divided Pakistan into two and merged PoK with India,” Revanth Reddy claimed, alleging that the BJP government lacked the strength to merge PoK with India and free Balochistan.

On the contrary, the BJP was conducting Tirangaa rallies and questioning the Congress’ contribution to the nation, he slammed.
