Hyderabad: During the Ganesh idol immersion in the city on Saturday, trucks with the theme of Operation Sindoor became the centre of attraction.
One truck, decorated with the national flag, had two women seated on a chair—one in army uniform and the other in air force uniform—depicting Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
Another vehicle arranged by the Mallikarjuna Youth Welfare Association was decorated with replicas of the BrahMos missile and a rocket launcher. A caption on the vehicle read, Proud of Indian Armed Forces.
Some local youth associations played patriotic songs through music systems during the procession, while youngsters carried national flags, adding a patriotic touch to the festivities.
