Jangaon: District Collector K Nikhila has instructed the officials concerned to complete the development works taken up under the ‘Palle Pragrathi’ programme and put them to use at the earliest in the district.
Addressing the officials through an online meeting on Wednesday, she also asked the officials to maintain the 39 registers of which 32 of gram panchayats and 7 related to employment guarantee (NRGES) properly. The Collector asked the officials to visit the villages in accordance with the schedule.
Stating that the officials should reach the village at 6 am and stay there during the day and resolve the problems if any then and there, she said that the officials should submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) along with the photographs and also instructed the officials to keep ‘Vaikunthadhamams’ ready for use by Sunday by completing plastering, fencing and removing weeds and added that wet and dry waste should be collected, making of compost should start in segregation sheds and segregation sheds so far not in use should be brought into use immediately. Nikhila said that there should be three primary beds per 1,000 saplings in each nursery, out of which fast growing plants should be separated.
She further said that the Panchayat Secretaries would be imparted two-day training on the maintenance of the registers soon. She warned officials of stern action in the light of negligence in the discharge of duties.
